Really solid idea and the art is great, I do agree that the game gets a bit too easy after a while and that some kind of timed mechanic to keep the pressure would be interesting
It is a pretty fun and charming game. The combat is quite simple but over time the waves do get more challenging. I also did not utilise the storage mechanic which could have been useful. Other than that I like looking at the development work or art you uploaded on itch.io. It's very interesting and something I should try to do more often in my own works.

it's really fun, but i wish there was some sort of upgrades or something, like more hp or different/better dice. something like d4 that attacks 3x3 square would probably be interesting, or maybe a die that attacks in x pattern? overall i can't wait to see the next update
Really neat game! Like the overall visuals and music. I think a few additional animations would be really nice though. Like a different death animation vs just the getting hit one being reused, and maybe a death image for the gameover screen. Also a smug/happy face whenever the fire kill someone or multiple at once, and a temporary "worried" face when attackers are close/attacking him.
Oh my god, I'm so sorry you had to spend hours playing it, haha. It did make the game a lot easier (and now there's also a check to prevent dice sums less than 6). Will kick up the difficulty in the next patch!

I've got a score of 2545 and I've gotten bored. It feels like at some point the level of enemies plateau'd, and it stopped being a challenge. The game is great otherwise, though.

After the update (storage slot), the game is now even easier and longer. My new score after just one (lengthy) try: 22955
